About the Firm
Our firm serves as a resource to the business community. Whether your need is documentation, litigation, collection, workout, defense, or finding solutions to complex problems, we offer years of experience and expertise.
Our predecessor firm was established in 1950, concentrating in creditor’s rights and commercial collections., The firm developed into new areas to meet the expanding needs of the financial community and we strive to continue its legacy. We are now active in bankruptcy, commercial litigation, structuring and documenting asset-based and Small Business Administration loans, foreclosure, and all types of liquidation.
Our practice encompasses the entire state of Alabama from the firm’s office in Birmingham. Cases fall under the jurisdiction of all State and Federal Courts in Alabama, the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
We have long taken responsible leadership roles within the legal community at the local, state and national levels. Our attorneys serve as lecturers in numerous legal education programs and take active roles in groups that seek to shape the future of the practice of law. Members of the firm and our predecessors have enjoyed leadership positions in the Birmingham and Alabama Bar Associations, the Commercial Law League of America, the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, and the Alabama Law Institute.
